Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a Neuro MedSurg unit requiring an active TN or compact RN license and NIH Stroke Certification.
Details
Work in the Neuro MedSurg unit of a 14-bed hospital department
Patient ratios of 1:4 or 1:5
Unit staffed with a dedicated Unit Secretary and Charge Nurse outside of ratio
Uses Meditech documentation system
Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Requires 4 weekend shifts per schedule
Contract travelers are the first to float when needed
Requirements
Active TN or compact RN license required
Current BLS and NIH Stroke Certification required
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
Additional Information
Provide direct patient care within a Joint Commission Thrombectomy Certified neuro unit
Scrubs required as part of the dress code
Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
