Job Description Human Resources Specialist

Fusco Personnel has been retained to recruit for a Human Resources Specialist, for our client located in the Albany, NY area. This is a part-time (30hrs/week), contract to permanent opportunity with a well-respected growing organization.

The ideal candidate is responsible for the administration, coordination, and oversight of employee benefit programs and core human resources functions. Ensure the accuracy, security, and confidentiality of employee personnel records and HR documentation

Oversee the administration of FMLA, ADA accommodations, and disability leave while ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws

Act as the primary contact for benefits providers, brokers, and third-party administrators to resolve escalated benefit issues, claims, COBRA matters, and retirement plan administration

Conduct benefits orientation sessions for newly hired employees as part of the onboarding process

Coordinate new hire onboarding by preparing employment documentation, establishing personnel files, and facilitating orientation programs

Administer employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, retirement, disability, workers' compensation, and voluntary benefit offerings

Associate’s degree with a minimum of 2+ years of HR experience

Strong knowledge of employee benefit programs and human resources administration

Excellent employee relations, communication, and conflict-resolution skills

Strong computer proficiency, including HRIS and database systems
