Job DescriptionSUMMARYThis position is responsible for performing product inspections to determine conformance with specifications and packaging these products according to customer requirements.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESEnsure safety procedures are followed at all times and immediately report unsafe working conditions or mechanical safety problems to the Shift Supervisor.Know the function of the product and any potential product defects that can adversely affect the function or application of the product.Perform production verifications at the start of an order and each shift.Perform the required visual inspections at the beginning of each shift and at the interval specified in the data acquisition software. Immediately notify the Manufacturing Coordinator if any defects are found.Utilize the data acquisition software to determine which gauging (if necessary) must be performed during the production run to ensure quality standards are met.Keep accurate documentation in the data acquisition software during the production run.Inspect parts on the conveyor belts and in product containers throughout the shift, and perform liner inspections as required.Properly package and handle the production per the assigned manufacturing specification.Assist in the performance of machine startups, shutdowns and line clearances.Keep the workstation clean and neat at all times by utilizing good housekeeping practices.Follows applicable Food Safety and cGMP polices.Assist in the training of fellow associates.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Ability to work with minimal supervision and to follow both written and verbal instructions and techniques.Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with assistance.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts.
