Stange Law Firm, PC has an immediate opening for a motivated attorney to join our team in Overland Park, Kansas. At Stange Law Firm, attorneys do far more than research and paperwork. You will manage cases, work directly with clients, negotiate settlements, appear in court, conduct hearings and trials, and help families navigate some of the most important and difficult moments of their lives.
Family law experience is preferred but not required. We welcome experienced family law attorneys as well as litigators interested in developing a rewarding career in domestic relations law.
Our Overland Park office serves clients throughout Johnson County and surrounding communities across the Kansas City metropolitan area.

Stange Advocacy Institute
We believe attorneys should never stop developing their legal skills. Through the Stange Advocacy Institute, attorneys receive ongoing practical training designed to help them become stronger counselors, negotiators, writers, litigators, and courtroom advocates.
The firm conducts periodic Weekend Advocacy Intensives focused on skills that attorneys use in their daily practices, including:

Manage family law matters from inception through resolution
Draft pleadings, motions, judgments, orders, discovery, and correspondence
Conduct legal research and analysis
Negotiate settlements and advocate effectively for clients
Produce accurate, thorough, and timely legal work
Record billable time accurately and consistently under firm policies
Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, and support departments
Participate in firm training and professional-development programs
Attorneys may handle matters involving divorce, child custody, child support, paternity, adoption, guardianship, estate planning, and other domestic relations issues.
Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
Active Kansas law license in good standing
Effective courtroom, negotiation, and advocacy abilities
Family law experience is preferred but not required. Attorneys with experience in civil litigation, criminal law, prosecution, public defense, or other courtroom-focused practices are encouraged to apply.
Candidates seeking consideration for a Senior Associate position should generally have at least five years of relevant litigation experience.
