Staff Quality Assurance Engineer

with strong semiconductor industry experience for our site in Austin, TX. This role partners with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance, resolve quality issues, and continuously improve processes to protect product quality and reliability.

Drive, monitor, and continuously improve fab quality metrics with a strong focus on Zero Defects, including timely review and follow-up of customer complaints (IQA failures, field returns, RMAs, FAs, etc.).

Establish, maintain, and sustain robust Quality Systems, including specifications, SPC, change management, supplier quality controls, and MRB processes for NCM.

Partner with Supplier Quality, Procurement, and Fab Engineering to ensure incoming materials meet specifications and to support qualification of new materials.

Perform internal audits of quality systems and manufacturing processes to verify compliance and identify improvement opportunities.

Collaborate with internal teams and external customers to drive corrective actions, continuous improvement initiatives, and effective resolution of quality issues.

Demonstrate strong attention to detail, structured problem-solving, and root cause analysis while building and maintaining effective relationships with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.

BS in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or related

5-7+ years experience in a semiconductor wafer fabrication environment, including Quality experience

Strong problem-solving skills and demonstrated experience using industry-standard Quality tools such as 8D, FMEA, 5 Whys, Poka-Yoke, 5S, etc.

Understanding of statistical tools (SPC, DOE) for use in making data-driven decisions.

US Citizen or US Person required

ASQ certification as CQM, CQE, CRE and/or formal Six Sigma training (Green/Black Belt certification)
