Massage Spa Therapist - Part time

Responsible for guiding the clients through the Spa's service offerings while helping them choose the type of massage or treatment that will benefit them the most. Will be responsible for inquiring about relevant medical history (injuries) and creating a relaxing ambiance for the clients. Will assist the Spa Director, Managers/Supervisors in maintaining the highest standards of professionalism in all aspects of operations. Achieving sales targets as set by the Spa Director

Arriving 15 minutes before the start of your shift to allow sufficient time to prepare for your workday

Is responsible for daily cleanliness & hygiene of equipment, products, and treatment areas. All treatment rooms must be left stocked and cleaned per standards at the end of each shift.

Maintaining the stock at the correct level following set standards

Reporting dysfunctional equipment to Management

Must adhere to training as set down by the Spa Director, Lead Therapist, Managers & Supervisors.

Attending all training courses as deemed necessary by the Head Therapist

Supervising and conducting the safety of users and equipment at the Spa and receiving training to ensure that all relevant legislation pertaining to the Health and Safety at Work Law and Health and Hygiene standards are implemented and monitored within the Spa

Maintain the highest level of customer service and guest satisfaction according to the standards set forth by The Palms Hotel and Spa

Ensure compliance with health and sanitation policies in all areas

Adhere to all fire, safety, and security procedures according to hotel policy

Fluency in English, both verbal and non-verbal

• Experience with computers and spa software
• Fluency in the English language (written and verbal), a second language is an asset
• Able to project in a professional manner at all times
• Work with minimal supervision
• Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data
• Previous experience as a therapist
• Florida License in Massage Therapy and Skin Care from an accredited school

The team member will also come in contact with noxious and abrasive chemicals that must be handled properly to ensure the safety of the team member and others.

Florida License in Massage Therapy and Skin Care from an accredited school.

Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal.

Experience with computers and spa softwares.

Work with minimal supervision.

Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.

Previous experience as a therapist.

Fluency in a second language preferably Spanish.
