The posted compensation range of $25.00 - $30.51/hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. As our Security Officer, you will maintain the highest level of safety and security by patrolling assigned areas, diligently deterring, detecting, and investigating suspicious activity or crime. Every day, you will effectively monitor electronic surveillance equipment and hospital emergency systems, dispatch appropriate personnel via radio, and actively patrol to protect individuals and property, all while embodying our core values and supporting strategic quality improvement. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate exceptional vigilance, strong observational skills, proficiency in electronic surveillance and dispatch systems, and a commitment to protecting our community while upholding our organizational values and contributing to a secure environment.

Protecting staff, patients, and visitors by responding to calls for assistance in a timely and prudent manner. Patrol the facility and grounds by foot or vehicle; monitor security alarms and dispatch officers promptly to location(s) where needed; Knowledge of emergency procedures, equipment, and supplies, including radios and hospital codes
investigates security breaches, conducts investigations, and writes incident reports. Use appropriate emergency and radio codes in dispatching security officers while knowing the hospital campus to ensure that dispatches are to the right location.
Builds trust and confidence through respectful and credible interactions that reflect positively on personal integrity and the organization's mission.
Six (6) months of experience as a security officer in a healthcare setting, law enforcement, or military service; One (1) year of experience as a security officer
