• Rather than specializing in a single area-such as compensation, benefits, or recruiting-an HR Generalist handles a wide spectrum of duties, including:

HR Administration & Compliance: Maintaining personnel records, enforcing workplace policies, and ensuring adherence to employment laws and safety regulations
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Recruiting and onboarding coordination support; sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and orientation new employees.
Employee Relations: Addressing employee concerns, resolving workplace conflicts, facilitating performance reviews and performance management corrective action processes
Culture & Engagement: Driving employee engagement initiatives, internal communications, workplace recognition programs and support continued education training initiatives
In short, an HR Generalist serves as a primary link between employees and management, ensuring smooth operational HR processes while supporting healthy workplace culture and compliance.
Key Sub-Tasks for the Human Resources Generalist Role
Provide policy and HR best-practice guidance
Help design mentorship and career pathing initiatives
Support leadership with training and development activities
Maintain HRIS data integrity and workflows
Perform other administrative duties as assigned across HR operations
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Strong knowledge of employment laws and best hiring practices.
Experience with onboarding, training, and employee development preferred
Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills
Proficiency with HRIS platforms; BambooHR and Google Suite preferred.
