Physician - Psychiatry - Psychiatrist - Part Time

Psychiatry Director physician job in New York : A health services organization in New York City is actively seeking a licensed professional to join their outpatient behavioral health facility in Brooklyn as a Medical Director - Psychiatry. This part-time leadership role combines direct psychiatric care with clinical supervision, collaboration, and program support in a community health setting.

About the Opportunity:

Schedule: Part-time

Hours: 15 hours per week

Setting: Outpatient behavioral health clinic

Responsibilities:

Provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients within the specialty area

Deliver direct psychiatric and addiction treatment using evidence-based standards and best practices

Supervise clinical activities, documentation, and follow-up procedures for psychiatric providers

Collaborate with nurse practitioners and physician assistants and maintain productive clinical partnerships

Participate in multidisciplinary planning, quality improvement efforts, and regulatory compliance initiatives

Qualifications:

Doctorate degree, such as an MD or DO

Board certification in Adult Psychiatry or Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

Board certification in Addiction Medicine or Addiction Psychiatry

Active buprenorphine license or eligibility to obtain one

Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred

Board Certified or Board Eligible Medical Doctor with or w/o US residency with current US work visa.
