Jenkins & Wheatley Family Law is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join our growing team in Louisville, Kentucky.
Minimum Starting Salary: $75,000.00 with higher pay based on experience and credentials

Position Summary This is a full‑time, on‑site position for an attorney who is passionate about advocating for clients during some of the most important moments of their lives. The successful candidate will manage a diverse family law caseload while working closely with experienced attorneys and support staff. Responsibilities Manage a caseload involving divorce, child custody, child support, adoption, paternity, guardianship, and other family law matters
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, settlement agreements, parenting plans, wills, trusts, and other legal documents
Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda
Meet with clients to provide practical legal advice and develop case strategies
Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with deadlines and court rules
from an accredited law school
Licensed to practice law in Kentucky (and in good standing), or those who have taken the July 2026 Bar Exam
Excellent legal research, analytical, writing, and drafting skills
Ability to negotiate effectively and advocate confidently for clients
Ability to work collaboratively in an on‑site team environment
Preferred Prior experience or clerkship in family law, mediation, or related practice areas
