Property and Construction Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks an attorney to join its Business, Property, and Construction Law Practice Group in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in public procurement and contract negotiation, with a focus on representing school and community college districts.

Duties Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts, including construction and professional services agreements.

Handle bid packages, procurement documents, and bid protests.

Manage claims related to stop payment notices, change orders, and payment disputes.

Collaborate on litigation matters as needed.

Work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements Minimum of five years of relevant legal experience.

Admission to the California State Bar.

Experience with public entity representation preferred.

Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.

Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications California State Bar admission.

Skills Proficiency in contract negotiation and public procurement.
