The APP functions as a member of the surgical management team. In conjunction with the attending the APP will oversee care from clinic to OR/inpatient to discharge and throughout all aspects of the continuum of care. This position will be predominantly an inpatient role with some supportive clinic coverage. As this is a pediatric service the APP will assist both with patient and family care and help support the whole unit as they move through the UK system. The APP has a strong foundation in evidenced based practice and education and ensuring an environment of safe quality care.
