Care of - laboratory nurse

Cath Lab RN

Position available for a Cath Lab RN. This position involves working 4x10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Weekend call is required once a month, with one call shift on a weekday each week. The facility conducts peripheral and coronary diagnostic and interventional procedures. Support services include respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. Travelers should be aware that assignments may include emergency response duties during hurricane season, running from June through November. Travelers should be mindful of the 60-mile radius rule for local candidates. Skills required include cardiac stent placement, interventional catheterizations, and procedural sedation administration and monitoring. Daily census averages around 20 cases, with five rooms available in the unit. Candidates should have a solid understanding of equipment such as Impella and balloon pumps.
