Registered NurseJob Title: Registered NurseProfession: NursingSpecialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)Duration: 8 weeksShift: NightHours per Shift: 12 hoursExperience: 2 years preferredLicense: Shift options are 3x12 or 4x12 nights. Travel experience is also preferred. There are 10 beds in the unit. Certain county residents are not eligible for this position. BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, and care of ventilated patients. Candidates should have experience in central line care/management and managing patients with chronic/acute renal failure. Continuous IV sedation, CVA/acute stroke management, and GI surgery experience are essential. Interpretation of arterial blood gases and management of dysrhythmias are required. Applicants should be capable of phlebotomy and procedural sedation administration/monitoring. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, and social services. Patient age groups served are adults and geriatrics.
