Temp/Travel -Registered Nurse (RN) HOME HEALTH (Nights)

Registered Nurse, Med Surg Tele
Duration: 16-26 weeks (travel assignment)
Weekly pay: $2,497 - $2,666 per week
Shift: 3x12 Nights
Hospital-based Med/Surg Tele unit with float coverage as needed
This travel assignment places you on a hospital floor providing surgical and medical inpatient care with telemetry, including potential ED HOLD coverage and unit-wide support.
Weekly pay: $2,497 - $2,666 per week

• Shift: 3x12 Night shifts
• Setting: Med Surg Tele on a hospital floor with float responsibilities
• Bi-weekly on Mondays; Provide direct patient care to Med/Surg Tele patients across designated units, including Med/Surg Oncology, Ortho, and Urology as assigned
• Monitor and respond to patient conditions, administer medications and IV therapy, manage IV pumps, and perform necessary bedside procedures
• Conduct bladder scans, glucose monitoring, and routine blood work as appropriate; draw labs and manage central line care per protocol
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and ancillary staff; document care in EPIC; participate in handoffs and care planning
• Manage patient safety, infection control, pain and symptom management, and discharge planning in coordination with the care team
• Maintain unit standards for patient ratios (roughly 1:4 on R5/R6 and 1:5 on R7, with adjustments as needed) and support ED HOLD coverage when required
• Adhere to unit policies, including NIHSS assessment prerequisites and BLS requirements, and complete required competencies prior to start

Active New York RN license or proof of application with applied date (NY licensing may take 6-8 weeks)

• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years
• Ability to work a 3x12 night shift and float to multiple Tele/Med/Surg units as needed
• Nursing degree from an accredited program
• Travel assignment with weekly pay
• Bi-weekly on Mondays
• On-going unit support and travel coordination
• EPIC documentation standard; access to nursing resources and team collaboration
