Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CCU/Coronary Care Unit ICU position in Wichita, KS, requiring a minimum of 1 year of acute care ICU experience and active BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications.

• Work setting is a hospital CCU/Coronary Care Unit with 26 beds
• Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Patient ratio is 1:2
• Unit staffing includes 13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, and 1 Patient Care Tech per shift
• Procedures performed include heart catheterizations, balloon pumps, CRRT, hypothermia, cardioversion, central lines, and medication drips
• Equipment used includes balloon pumps, CRRT machines, and hypothermia devices
• EMR system is Meditech; prior Meditech experience is preferred but not required
• 13-week contract

Requirements
Active RN license in Kansas or a compact state is required
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) — AHA or ARC accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start
Minimum 1 year of recent acute care hospital ICU experience required
US SSN and date of birth are required for consideration
One professional reference required
No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
Prior experience traveling to large facility ICU units is preferred
Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
