About Facility:

o Teaching Hospital

Traveler's permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit

• Unit Information:

18 months Med/Tele RN experience

o Small bowel obstructions, general surgery (colectomy, colon/small bowel resections, nephrectomy, hysterectomy, mastectomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernia repairs, splenectomy, thyroidectomy), kidney stones, pneumothorax, bariatric surgery, rib fractures, hip fractures, joint replacements, cellulitis

• o RN: 1:4-6; o trach chare, chest tube management, PIV starts, NG tubes, ostomy care, drains, wound care, continuous bladder irrigation, tube feeds, cardiac rhythm interpretation
• o Charge nurse, 24/7

o Phlebotomy, 24/7 - peripheral blood draws

o Resource Nurse - as staffing allows

o Hospitalist 24/7

o Intensivist 24/7

o Telemetry monitoring/tech? yes - remote

• Technology/Equipment:

o EMR: EPIC

o IV Pump: BD Alaris

o Monitors: Masimo, remote tele

• o Will be required to float per region needs - will require floating to all facilities listed below, as needed, within scope of practice - DECLINE if not agreeable
• Region 1 - Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH (peds only) -- could float to any of the facilities within region if the need arises
• If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock)

• Orientation (facility and unit) :

o Weekend rotation: every other

o Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays

o RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays - must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours
