Labor & Delivery RN (L&D RN) – Registered Nurse focused on labor, delivery, and postpartum care in Olympia, WA, United States. Start date 06/30/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment. Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care for laboring patients, newborns, and postpartum mothers; monitor maternal and fetal status; support labor and delivery, including cesarean sections.

Administer medications and IV therapies (e.g., antibiotics, PPN/lipids) and perform IV starts as needed; assist with short-term stabilization.

Document accurately in the electronic health record (EPIC); communicate patient status to the care team; contribute to care planning.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff (Respiratory, Pharmacist, Radiology, Social Services, Interpreter Services) and participate in rapid response as appropriate.

Support postpartum and couplet care, provide patient and family education, and ensure safety and comfort for mothers and newborns.

May float to similar units and the postpartum/observation areas as needed; maintain readiness for Level II NICU-supported cases.

Requirements

Active RN license in Washington or eligible to obtain licensure (pending license accepted; preference for quick start).

Certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS required; AWHONN Intermediate preferred.

Experience: Minimum 2 years in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Cesarean care; first-timers accepted.

Ability to work in a hospital L&D setting; willingness to float to related units (POD, sitter) as needed.

EPIC charting experience preferred; orientation and pre-start requirements completed as part of onboarding.
