Travel Nurse Opportunity In Hematology And Oncology

Assignment Details:
- 16-week assignment
- 8-hour day shifts
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Valid MN RN license or MN Temp Permit-RN
Current BLS certification
PEARS or PALS certification
Completion of Pediatric Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider Course through APHON or equivalent within the past 5 years
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with pediatric hematology/oncology patients
Key Responsibilities:
Assess pediatric patients before, during, and after chemotherapy/infusion
Safely administer chemotherapy, blood products, and supportive medications
Vigilantly monitor and promptly respond to side effects and adverse reactions
Manage central venous access devices, practicing strict sterile technique
Provide symptom management and supportive care, including pain and nausea control
Educate patients and families on treatments, side effects, and post-care
Offer emotional support to both patients and caregivers
Effectively collaborate with oncologists and multidisciplinary teams
Accurately document all care within the Cerner system
