Patient Transporter - ER

Transporter
The Transporter is responsible for the safe transportation, via a WHC vehicle, of Inpatient and/or Outpatient patients who require transportation to and from offsite locations such as physician offices, diagnostic centers, ER's, Military bases, discharge placements, etc.

Qualifications Qualified applicants meet the following requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Five (5) years driving experience operating passenger car, van or bus.
One (1) year experience in a patient field, preferred.
Experience working with substance abuse or behavioral health patients, preferred.
Current Florida Driver's License with no more than 2 moving violations in the past 6 years; no more than 4 points on record; no reckless driving citations; no more than 1 accident on record for the past 5 years; no DUI or DWI violations.
Must be able to perform physical activities such as prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and handling of materials.
Must be able to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team without continuous supervision.
Regular and consistent attendance is an essential job function; reliable transportation is required.
