Insurance Agent
Sells and markets insurance services and cross sells bank services.
Essential Duties:
Services existing clientele/prospects.
Calls on policyholders to deliver and explain policy, to suggest additions or changes in insurance program or to make changes in beneficiaries.
Calls insurance company for insured.
Rewrites policies for customers.
Prospecting, calling and sales (client development and growth)
Continues multi-line account development
Contacts prospective clients and explains features and merits of policies offered, recommending amount and type of coverage based on analysis of prospect's circumstances.
Calculates and quotes premium rates for recommended policies.
Accurately processes insurance applications and associated forms for policy issue or change processing.
Represent company at community events.
Non-essential Duties: Other duties as assigned by management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent customer service skills
The ability to prioritize and make on-the-spot decisions.
Basic knowledge of all bank products
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work well under pressure
Ability to cross sell
High degree of accuracy
Strong communication skills
Organizational skills
Knowledge of various federal regulations
Training and Experience:
High school diploma or GED required
One to two years experience; or
Equivalent combination of education and experience
Conditions of Employment:
Must travel as required.
Must pass background check.
Property and Casualty State License
Physical Requirements:
Lifting: Up to 20 pounds.
