As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will do work that matters every single day. You will mentor, teach, guide, and advocate for adults with I/DD, helping them build confidence, access your community, and achieve personal goals.

Provide respectful, hands-on support to individuals with I/DD in their daily living, personal care, and community activities.

Serve as a mentor and advocate, helping each person work toward personal goals such as communication, independence, and social connections.

Accompany and support clients at community outings, recreational activities, and medical appointments, ensuring safety, dignity, and engagement.

Encourage and model positive peer interactions, helping clients build and maintain healthy relationships.

Follow individual support plans, communicate observations to the team, and collaborate with supervisors and coworkers to ensure consistent, high-quality support.

Within the first few months, you build trusting, respectful relationships with the individuals you support and learn their routines, preferences, and goals.

Individuals you work with are more engaged in community and recreational activities and demonstrate progress in independence or social skills.

Documentation, communication with the team, and follow-through on support plans are accurate, timely, and consistent.

A genuine passion for helping others, with the willingness to learn, take feedback, and grow within the role.

prior human services experience and/or American Sign Language skills are a plus.
