We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Flight Paramedic to join our Occupational Health and Emergency Medical Services team. The Flight Paramedic will provide advanced pre-hospital emergency care and critical-care transport services for seriously ill or injured employees and patients requiring rapid transportation to appropriate medical facilities.

The Flight Paramedic will be responsible for providing advanced life support, emergency stabilization, and critical-care interventions to patients during air medical transport. Working as part of a specialized flight medical team, the successful candidate will assess patient conditions, perform emergency procedures, administer medications, operate advanced medical equipment, and continuously monitor patients throughout transport.

This position requires extensive paramedic experience, strong critical-thinking and decision-making abilities, and the capacity to deliver high-quality patient care in challenging and rapidly changing environments. The Flight Paramedic will collaborate closely with flight nurses, physicians, pilots, emergency medical technicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective patient transport.

Provide advanced life support and critical-care services to seriously ill or injured patients before and during air medical transport.
Conduct rapid and comprehensive patient assessments to determine immediate medical needs and appropriate interventions.
Stabilize patients at accident scenes, agricultural facilities, remote locations, and referring healthcare facilities before transport.
Administer emergency medications, intravenous fluids, and other treatments according to established protocols and medical direction.
Operate and monitor transport medical equipment, including cardiac monitors, defibrillators, ventilators, infusion pumps, and oxygen delivery systems.
Provide trauma care and emergency interventions for patients with serious injuries.
Continuously reassess patients during transport and respond rapidly to changes in clinical condition.
Collaborate with flight nurses and other members of the air medical team to develop and implement patient care plans.
Communicate effectively with physicians, emergency departments, trauma centers, and receiving healthcare facilities.
Provide accurate patient handoff reports to receiving medical teams.
Follow all applicable aviation safety procedures, infection-control requirements, emergency medical protocols, and patient safety standards.
Inspect and maintain medical equipment, medications, and emergency supplies to ensure transport readiness.
Participate in emergency preparedness programs, medical response drills, and workplace safety initiatives.
Support emergency response operations at rural agricultural facilities and remote company locations when required.
Maintain current knowledge of emergency medicine, critical-care transport, and air medical practices.
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in Emergency Medical Services, Paramedicine, or a related field preferred.
Current National Registry Paramedic (NRP) certification or equivalent state-recognized paramedic credential.
Current and unrestricted state Paramedic license.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Paramedic in a high-volume EMS, emergency, trauma, or critical-care transport environment.
Strong knowledge of emergency medicine, trauma care, advanced airway management, and critical-care transport.
Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, ECG interpretation, defibrillation, medication administration, and intravenous therapy.
Experience operating advanced medical equipment used in emergency and transport settings.
Ability to remain calm and perform effectively in high-pressure emergency situations.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary flight medical team.
Ability to meet applicable physical and medical requirements for air medical operations.
National Registry Paramedic (NRP) or equivalent certification
Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or International Trauma Life Support (ITLS)
Certified Flight Paramedic (FP-C) certification.
Certified Critical Care Paramedic (CCP-C) certification.
Experience working in helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS) or fixed-wing medical transport.
Experience with critical-care interfacility transport.
Familiarity with neonatal or pediatric critical-care transport is a plus.
Experience responding to emergencies in rural, remote, agricultural, or industrial environments.
Knowledge of aviation safety procedures and air medical operations.
The Flight Paramedic will work in a variety of environments, including helicopters or fixed-wing aircraft, ambulances, healthcare facilities, agricultural operations, production sites, and remote outdoor locations.

The position may involve exposure to extreme temperatures, changing weather conditions, aircraft noise, vibration, machinery, and physically demanding situations. The Flight Paramedic must be able to assist with lifting, moving, and transporting patients and medical equipment.

The role requires flexible scheduling and may include nights, weekends, holidays, extended shifts, and on-call assignments. Frequent travel and rapid deployment to emergency locations may be required.
