Art Teaching Position

Carney, Sandoe & Associates, an education recruitment firm, is currently seeking an Upper School Art Teacher starting in Fall 2026 at an independent school in the Jackson, MS area.

Introduce students to various forms of art such as painting, sculpting, mixed media, sketching, and/or drawing.
Use a variety of different materials to diversify student experiences in art making .
Serve as an advisor for a group of students, offering support, mentorship, and guidance to help them thrive academically and personally.
Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up to date with innovations in art education.
Bachelor’s degree required, master's degree preferred in an art field.
Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the K-12 preferred.
Passion for visual art, art history, and the fine arts.
Compensation and benefit packages are competitive but will differ by school and will typically depend on geographic location, your experience, and your level of degree.
