Electrical Engineering- Senior

Coffman Engineers’ is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in consulting engineering and project management with at least ten years of experience for our DC Metro office. This role provides the opportunity to help build and mentor a dedicated team of engineering professionals within a collaborative multidiscipline office. Applicants must be well versed in all aspects of electrical systems design and specification. The desired individual should be comfortable consulting to architects, owners, and general contractors, and have a desire to work as part of a multidiscipline engineering team.
Design of electrical systems
Manage and design multiple concurrent projects
Manage project team for budget and schedule control
Must be familiar with electrical/energy codes and standards (NEC, IEEE, NESC, IESNA, IECC, etc.)
Must have SKM, ETAP, or similar electrical modeling software experience.
The focus of the experience must be in the power industry associated with electrical engineering and design of Industrial, higher education, healthcare, federal government and/or commercial projects.
Experience with lighting design is desired, but not required.
Experience with Telecom, A/V, Cybersecurity, and security designs is desired, but not required.
Maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint software preferred.
Positive contributor to overall office and department goals, culture, and morale.
Ability to travel.
Bachelor’s Degree (B.S) in Electrical engineering or related field from an accredited college or university.

Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering (required)
Experience with AutoCAD and Revit.
Project Management experience and/or certifications.
Desire to lead inter-disciplinary projects and project teams.
Local AHJ experience and relationships is a plus.
Active local industry involvement is a plus.
Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate
