Material Handler Lead
The primary objective for this person is to lead warehouse functional area(s). This individual has significant experience in warehouse operations, technical skills (equipment operation, counting, space utilization, handling efficiency), in-depth knowledge of ISI's inventory management systems and software (Agile, SAP, WMS, PPG), and strong interpersonal and communication skills. This person would work closely with fellow team members, common stakeholders such as, engineers, cross cross-functional managers, and the supervisor to achieve team performance goals in the areas of safety, quality, and performance. Goals are set in each of these areas for each quarter, and overall team performance is measured against them.
A leader should create a culture where employees feel motivated and engaged and where their ideas and opinions are valued. This type of environment allows people to work together towards a common goal rather than relying on management to tell them what to do.
The Lead position is crucial because it sets the tone for the rest of the team. Receiving materials, physically and systemically, to be used in production operations and engineering projects.
Parts Put-away: Physically and systemically move approved production materials from IQC staging areas into SMKT storage locations. (Parts Replenishment: Point-of-use parts replenishment for designated production lines, monitoring pull/push signals from external and internal warehouses.
Sales Order Fulfillment: Shipping Responsibilities to Sterigenics and internal-plant transfers.
Packing System carts, FRUs and kits. Monitor team-member performance (safety, quality, performance, attendance) and escalate issues to management as needed.
Training: Must learn and comply with training guidelines and act as a Deputized trainer for the staff. Participate in training meetings and provide training plans for employees to ensure job rotations.
Create and distribute daily warehouse reports that include performance to plan, quality issues, and equipment issues. Establish goals for each functional area and coordinate job rotations to enhance the efficiency and productivity of material handlers.
Prepare and present weekly warehouse data during weekly warehouse management walk-throughs. Review and disposition discrepant material. Identify non-active, slow-moving parts, communicate with planning teams for product disposition, and establish effective material rotations and turns.
Follow all corporate, regulatory, established DOP, WIs, safety, and production policies and procedures and maintain an accident- and CAPA-free environment.
Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years of Material Handling experience or a minimum of 2 years of manufacturing warehouse/assembly ISI experience.
• Proficient in Agile and/or SAP, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint.
• Proficient in training/mentoring other Material Handlers
• Inventory control experience (cycle counting, physical inventories) preferred.
• Proficient at quality record documentation
• Ability to lift material up to 50 lbs.
• Experience and/or certification in operating material-handling equipment preferred.
• Demonstrates understanding of basic operational principles of assemblies upon which training has been completed.
