ATTORNEY - TAX LAW

Practice Development Lawyer - TaxGenesis10 is currently seeking a Practice Development Lawyer - Tax for a direct hire opportunity with a Global Law Firm located in New York, NY.This role serves as a key knowledge, training, and practice support resource for the US Tax group. The Practice Development Lawyer maintains core forms, precedents, and research resources, supports the adoption of legal technology and AI-enabled workflows, and helps ensure the group's knowledge infrastructure reflects current law and market practice. The position also contributes substantive tax expertise to training, thought leadership, business development, and attorney development initiatives.Responsibilities:Maintain the Tax group's library of forms, annotated models, precedents, checklists, research resources, practice guides, and other work toolsWork with attorneys to identify priorities for new and updated knowledge resources, establish review cycles, and execute refresh projectsAdminister and improve the group's internal knowledge channels, including practice sites, intranet pages, and email distributionsPartner with Practice Innovation and Knowledge Solutions to evaluate, test, and implement legal technology and AI tools for the Tax groupServe as the group's legal quality-check resource for AI-assisted workflows, reviewing outputs for accuracy and refining processesMonitor federal, state, and international tax developments relevant to clientsParticipate in drafting client alerts, articles, legal updates, and other thought leadership materialsCo-lead the planning and delivery of Tax group training programsServe as a day-to-day resource for associates on research resources and knowledge materialsCollaborate with the Business Development team to support pitches, RFP responses, and client meeting materialsAct as a key liaison between the Tax group and the firm's Professional Staff teamsRequirements:Three to five years of experience as a tax lawyerSelf-starter with sound judgment, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively with attorneys and professional staff at all levelsComfortable leading projects, taking direction, and balancing independent ownership with collaborative executionAdmission in good standing to the New York State BarStrong knowledge of US tax law and the work of a sophisticated US Tax practiceInterest in knowledge management, legal technology, AI-enabled workflows, training, and attorney developmentEnthusiastic about developing junior talentExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong drafting, editing, and presentation skillsStrong attention to detail, organization, follow-through, and project management skillsCollaborative, service-oriented approach and ability to build credibility with lawyers and professional staffSound problem-solving skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced professional services environmentPay range: $
