Job Description Performance Contracting is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator for its Des Moines, IA #587 operations based in Des Moines, IA. Receive and evaluate subcontractor quotes for applicable scopes and their alignment with bid documents

Develop and maintain positive relationships with the local customer base to support PCI’s Customer Alignment objectives

Work directly with owners, construction managers, architects, engineers, and contractors

Attend pre-bid site walk-throughs

Dissect projects into functional stages

Carefully review project schedules related to applicable scopes

Prepare bid analyses and conduct bid reviews

Prepare financial job cost analyses

Source subcontractors, materials, and equipment while evaluating competitive pricing

Provide training and leadership to other members of the Estimating team, as needed

90,000 - $120,000 annual salary plus non-guaranteed annualized bonus program.

Basic Requirements Must have at least 5-7 years’ experience estimating construction projects

Strong ability to read, understand, and interpret specifications and drawings for PCI’s scopes of work, specifications, materials, and methods

Has a record of establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships

Excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills

Possess a high level of attention to detail and cost analysis skills

Ability to accurately read project schedules to determine sequencing and durations of scopes of work

Proficiency with computer takeoff and estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff and Quick Bid

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g., Excel, Word), Bluebeam Revu, Procore, or PlanSwift

Preferred Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or related discipline

Experience with drywall and framing for commercial interior projects.
