Registered Nurse Post-Op Cardiac ICU

Unit Description
Join a dynamic 20-bed post-operative cardiothoracic ICU offering intensive care for patients directly following cardiac surgery. This unit provides 24/7 intensivist coverage alongside resident support, ensuring high-quality patient care.
Role Responsibilities
Titrate drips, including sedation medications and vasoactive agents.
Perform chest tube and line removal, and facilitate patient mobilization.
Conduct daily weights and monitor patient status.
Caring for a diverse range of patients including those who have undergone CABG, valve surgeries, Ross procedures, thoracic surgeries, aortic dissections, and various other ICU conditions.
Utilize advanced medical devices such as CRRT, Tablo, Aquadex, Impella, IABP, Heart Mate III, external VAD, and ECMO.
Qualifications
Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Experience in critical care or cardiothoracic nursing preferred.
Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
