Cleaning/ Janitorial Maintenance

Custodian PositionUnder the direction and supervision of the Custodian Supervisor, the Custodian (or substitute custodian) cleans and prepares school facilities for use.General Duties:Pick up trash and empty trash containers as appropriate and assigned.Sweep, vacuum, or mop floors or sidewalks as appropriate.Clean sinks, bathrooms, and other plumbing facilities as appropriate.Clean windows, walls, chalkboards, furniture, and equipment as assigned.Assist with moving furniture and equipment as assigned.Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs as assigned, including replacing burned out lights.Assist with maintenance projects as assigned.Stock and deliver school supplies as assigned.Perform related duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent.Basic knowledge of cleaning tasks and related materials.Must be able to lift 104 pounds occasionally, 60 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly.Requirements / Qualifications:Letter of IntroductionResume3 Current Letter of RecommendationMust be able to perform duties as assignedFlexible work hoursDrive forklift or willing to be trainedAbility to climb laddersRepair equipment when neededCurrent Driver's LicenseDOJ and FBI Background Clearances (at time of hire)TB (tuberculin) clearance (at time of hire)Completion of district mandated training (within 30 days of hire)Successfully complete related WorkSteps physical (if applicable, at time of hire)
