Hiring Line Cook at Scratchboard Kitchen in Arlington Heights Scratchboard Kitchen is hiring a Line Cook to join our professional, chef-led kitchen in downtown Arlington Heights. We’re looking for cooks who care about craft, consistency, and working in a kitchen built on respect, communication, and clear systems.
This role is for dinner service, with some weekend morning hours available but not necessary. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked station
Complete prep efficiently and manage pars with guidance and support
Follow food safety and sanitation standards
Professional kitchen experience preferred (line or prep)
Comfortable working dinner service in a structured kitchen
Able to be on your feet for service and handle typical kitchen tasks
(A chef-led kitchen focused on seasonal cooking and technique
Clear prep lists, pars, and service systems
Opportunities to learn, cross-train, and grow within the kitchen

Scratchboard Kitchen is an upscale casual restaurant in downtown Arlington Heights serving simple yet elevated scratch-made breakfast and lunch fare, coffee, and alcoholic beverages. The menu is conceptualized by a Michelin trained chef who takes fine dining standards and applies them to a casual setting, ensuring high quality and standards.
