Title- RN Med Surg Tele
Shift= 3*12 Nights 36 hours a week
Facility Overview

• 874-bed Level I Trauma Center
• Teaching hospital with advanced specialty services
• Must reside 50+ miles from facility

Unit Details

• 36-bed MedSurg/Telemetry unit
• High-acuity neuro and spine patient population
• Post-op spinal surgery & spinal fusion (high acuity)

RN: 1:4–6 (based on acuity)

CNA: Varies by shift and census

Active RN License
Minimum 2 years MedSurg/Telemetry experience
Stroke and neuro assessment
Trach care & airway management
NG/Dobhoff/PEG tube care
Post-op spine/neuro care & patient education
Charge Nurse (24/7)
Respiratory Therapy (24/7)
Hospitalist & Intensivist coverage (24/7)
Phlebotomy (peripheral draws)
No telemetry tech – nurses monitor rhythms
EMR: Epic
Monitoring Equipment: May float to multiple facilities within system
Paid travel time if floating mid-shift
2 days unit/department-specific orientation

Scheduling & Policies
Every other weekend required
Travelers must work 75% of holidays
Up to 6 days RTO allowed (excluding holidays)
Maximum of 2 call-offs per 13-week contract
