TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified IMC RN in Roanoke, Virginia, 24014!

Registered Nurse – Neuro PCU (IMC/Stepdown)
Contract | Days | 3x12-hour shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Onsite
Provide direct nursing care to adult patients with neurological conditions including neurosurgical recovery, stroke management, neuro-specific diagnoses, and medical overflow
Perform cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and participate in Rapid Response and Code teams
Administer IV therapy, blood products, and cardiac drips (no titration); manage central and peripheral line care and perform phlebotomy
Provide respiratory support including nasal cannula, oxygen administration, and non-invasive airway management
Monitor patients in a unit that includes dedicated beds for continuous 24-hour epilepsy monitoring
Float to other units within clinical skillset as required; Active Virginia state RN license or active Compact RN license (pending license considered only for candidates holding a single-state license from a non-compact state)
Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system
Ability to work weekends (every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week scheduling block)
Ability to work at least one holiday per 13-week contract period
Prior experience in a Neuro PCU, IMC, or Stepdown unit setting
Experience with continuous epilepsy monitoring environments
Work within a Level I Trauma Center and Magnet-designated facility offering advanced specialty care and a comprehensive stroke program with 24/7 neurointerventional coverage
