Temporary Managing Attorney - Remote

Job Overview A law firm seeks a Vendor Management Contracts Attorney to join their team in Chicago, IL, with the option for remote work across the United States. The role involves supporting firm-wide procurement and vendor management operations by drafting and negotiating supplier agreements and advising on contract processes and policies.
Responsibilities Review, draft, analyze, negotiate, and process various vendor contracts, including NDAs and master services agreements.
Participate in revising and developing contract templates and negotiation principles.
Assist in cataloguing contracts and monitoring vendor performance.
Facilitate communication among legal, technology, and business teams.
Educate firm members on contract issues and processes.
Identify and support training and development needs.
Requirements JD Degree and active admission to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction or equivalent experience.
At least 4 years of experience with vendor contract review and negotiation.
Proficiency in negotiating contracts related to data privacy, information security, and IT procurement.
Strong foundation in contract management and negotiation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage change in a dynamic organization.
Familiarity with GDPR, CCPA, and AI regulations is a plus.
Education JD Degree
Certifications Active admission to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction
Skills Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Experience with contracts databases and workflow management tools is a plus.
