Job Description
Surgical Technologist - Surgical Services
Schedule
12-hour shifts with day and evening rotations. Start times are 7 AM for day shift, and 9 AM and 11 AM for evening shifts. Every third weekend as needed and every other holiday. On-call duty once per schedule.
Assignment Details
Contract length: 13 weeks. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week.
Requirements

• 2+ years of inpatient operating room experience; level 1 trauma preferred.
• Scrub experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Competent in at least 5 of the following services: general, gynecological, genitourinary, oral, otolaryngological, bariatrics, orthopedic, neurological, vascular, thoracic, cardiac, plastics, podiatry, robotics, pediatrics, trauma, spine.

Responsibilities
Assist in surgical procedures by preparing and maintaining the sterile field.
Handle and pass instruments to the surgeon and surgical team.
Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures.
Maintain a clean and safe environment in the operating room.
Participate in the education and training of new staff and students.

Compliance / Notes
