Job Summary Join Allina Health as a Security Services team member and help create a safe, welcoming environment where healing begins. Day/evening shifts, variable shift lengths. Travel requirement is required for Training to Abbott Northwestern. Opportunity for travel within Minnesota and Western Wisconsin once fully trained. Travel beyond home site is eligible for mileage reimbursement.

Responsibilities Responds to security emergencies. Responds, controls and oversees calls for assistance and alarms. Identifies, evaluates and escalates threats and risks to ensure the safety and security of people and property. Patrols and provides escorts at company facilities and campuses. Monitors critical building security systems such as cameras, alarms, access control and weapons detection screening systems. Maintains and properly operates equipment including radio, emergency vehicle and TASER. Enforces criminal ordinances and administrative policies. Makes citizen arrests per policy. Cites non‑compliance related to administrative policies such as smoking, parking and regulatory related to safety and security. Serves as a department liaison to internal partners, community partners and other customers. Partners with internal customers to identify risk and safety concerns. Provides education to internal customers to mitigate personal safety in and out of the workplace. Serves on organizational regulatory and security committees. In lieu of degree requirement, 1 year of experience required in security, law enforcement, military or related field.

Allina in-house BLS training (within 30 days of hire)

Valid Driver’s License required upon hire - MN and WI residents must obtain a valid driver’s license in their state of residence within 60 days of employment

International Association for Hospital Safety and Security (IAHSS) preferred

Crisis Intervention Training (CIT) preferred

Pay Range Pay Range: $23.22 to $31.83 per hour. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
