A rapidly growing renewable energy independent power producer is seeking a Commercial Counsel to join its in-house legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for a business-oriented attorney who enjoys working across a broad range of commercial, operational, and project-related matters within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The role offers exposure to high-value transactions and strategic business initiatives, partnering closely with commercial, finance, operations, development, and leadership teams to support a diverse portfolio of energy and infrastructure assets.

Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a variety of commercial agreements, including procurement, construction, services, operations, leasing, and project-related contracts.

Support legal needs throughout the lifecycle of renewable energy projects, from construction through ongoing operations.

Partner with internal stakeholders to facilitate efficient transaction execution while balancing legal and commercial objectives.

Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual and business risks while providing practical, solutions-oriented legal advice.

Prepare and oversee contractual notices, claims, and related correspondence.

Assist with due diligence efforts, contract administration, and process improvement initiatives.

Contribute to the development of legal templates, playbooks, and scalable contracting processes.

D. from an accredited law school and admission to practice in at least one U.Approximately 2-5 years of legal experience.

Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.

Strong drafting, negotiation, communication, and issue-spotting skills.

Broad commercial practice with exposure to sophisticated transactions and strategic business initiatives.
