Travel Registered Nurse - Cardiac Lab

Shift: Days, 5x8hrs
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP position in Alexandria, LA, requiring AHA-issued BLS and ACLS certifications and experience with cardiac procedures including TAVR and device implantation.
Day shift position, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

• 13-week contract with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent position
• Cardiology Cath Lab setting within a hospital environment
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1 patient to 4 staff members (2 nurses and 2 techs)
• Every third or fourth weekend required
• Active RN license in Louisiana or a compact state currently in hand

Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab or related nursing specialty experience
Provides nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients

• Administers medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• All newly hired RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Travel RN - Cath Lab/EP
