Dispatchers for Mornings and Weekends

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build positive relationships with drivers to best maximize retention levels, increase on time delivery percentages and achieve top-tier customer service.
• Manage high volume of calls from owner operator, lease purchase, and/or company drivers and prioritize calls.
• Communicate effectively and regularly with customers on issues, delays, etc.
• Receive and dispatch orders for pick-up and delivery.
• Enter data in computer system and maintain logs and records of calls, activities and other information.
• Ensure full compliance with administrative policies and federal and state regulatory compliance to mitigate safety risks and improve efficiency.
• Work one on one with the safety department on driver accidents, etc.
• Keep accurate details on drivers trailers, current trailer, dropped trailer, etc.
• Issue advances and comchecks to drivers.
• Report OSD to CSRs and/or claims department.
• Update precise in and out times at shippers and receivers for drivers.
• Other duties as may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• College degree in related field preferred.
• Previous dispatch experience preferred.
• Knowledge of the Trucking Industry/Refrigerator Transportation a plus.
• Active listener with excellent communication skills.
• Must have sound judgment and critical thinking skills.
• Must be able to recognize when immediate action is necessary and to implement the required actions within a reasonable time.

Weekend Day Shift: Thursday thru Sunday (7 am until 5 pm)

Compensation details: 37700-45700 Yearly Salary
