Head of Engineering and Project Management

As engineers, architects, construction/program managers, environmental professionals and beyond, we play a significant role in shaping our communities through the services we provide. NV5 is currently seeking a Project Manager to join our Americas Mission Critical team and service our clients nationally as needs dictate. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and well versed in commissioning, project management, facility engineering, construction, and operations. The market served will include mission critical. Responsible for the technical delivery both as a project manager and site lead for mission critical commissioning projects with minimal supervision while completing assignments that require independent judgement and evaluation.

Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors and other project team members.

Develop relationships on projects that accrue good will with our existing clients and collaborate with our management team to extend our existing relationships.

Manage project specific commissioning plans, commissioning procedures, checklists, test scripts, and schedules for Level 1 through Level 5 commissioning activities.

Lead onsite teams to perform functional performance tests on mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems.

Provide project management and coordination to meet client expectations for technical excellence, budget and schedule.

8 years or more of progressive experience in building systems commissioning with at least 3 years of mission critical facility experience.

• Experience in diagnosing and solving construction and operational problems.
• Experience with cloud-based construction and commissioning management platforms.
• Working knowledge and experience of mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Willingness to travel 75% or more as national level projects dictate.

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering

PMP Certification
