On Site Construction/Engineering Inspection

Gonzalez Companies is a partner managed firm that provides comprehensive Planning, Design, and Construction Management Services to large and small Water, Sewer and Utility Districts, Departments of Transportation, and municipalities. We are currently seeking a Construction Engineer with a strong background in construction documentation to help serve our connection of clients and community. Construction/CEI

Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to gather detailed and accurate information for documentation.

Ensure all documentation aligns with federal, state and local transportation regulations and guidelines.

Organize and maintain a comprehensive document repository using document management systems.

Serve as a liaison between technical teams, legal departments, and public relations to ensure documentation meets diverse needs.

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

Current IDOT Construction Documentation certificate required (this can be obtained while employed).

Minimum of 3 years' experience in Construction Engineering/Inspection.

Ability to travel throughout Chicago area.

Knowledgeable in the areas of Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA), Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) and earthwork.
