Journeyman Plumber (Commercial Construction)

Description
Our client, the U.S.'s largest commercial real estate services firm, is seeking an experienced Commercial Plumber to support a new pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Pleasant Prairie, WI . This contract-to-hire position is ideal for a plumbing professional with experience maintaining commercial or industrial plumbing systems who enjoys preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and supporting critical building infrastructure. Schedule is Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Perform preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and troubleshooting of commercial plumbing systems.
Install, repair, and replace water supply lines, waste lines, vent piping, plumbing fixtures, and related components.
Install new piping systems and plumbing fixtures according to blueprints, specifications, and applicable building codes.
Troubleshoot plumbing issues and determine appropriate repair solutions.
Perform routine inspections of water distribution, drainage, and waste systems to ensure proper operation.
Clear and repair clogged drains, waste lines, and vent systems using appropriate plumbing equipment and tools.
Complete plumbing safety inspections, including backflow prevention devices when applicable.
Assist with plumbing system modifications and facility improvement projects.
Support general facility maintenance and building operations as needed.
Complete work orders, preventive maintenance documentation, and equipment history using a CMMS system.
Maintain compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and environmental health and safety procedures.
Work closely with HVAC Technicians, Electricians, Maintenance Mechanics, and other facility personnel to support daily operations.
Respond to urgent plumbing issues and emergency maintenance situations when needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Trade school education or plumbing apprenticeship preferred.
Approximately 5 years of commercial or industrial plumbing experience.
Experience installing, repairing, and maintaining commercial plumbing systems.
Experience performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting plumbing equipment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plumbing diagrams, and technical documentation.
Experience working in commercial, industrial, manufacturing, or pharmaceutical facilities.
Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is preferred.
Basic computer skills, including email and Microsoft Office.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a maintenance team.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform the physical requirements of the position.
Preferred Qualifications:
OSHA 10 Construction certification.
Journeyman Plumbing License.
Backflow Prevention Certification.
Medical Gas Certification.
Experience supporting pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or other regulated facilities.
Knowledge of plumbing safety standards and applicable building codes.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in both independent and team-oriented environments.
