We are also needing a fulltime 7am-3pm nurse Monday-Friday
Supervise and monitor nursing staff to obtain highest quality care by performing routine nursing duties. Accountable to Director of Wellness/Executive Director for all nursing department activities and maintaining the corporate philosophy of quality care.
Supervise HHAs, CNAs and the facility staff
Make daily rounds of all Assisted Living residents and retirement residents if needed
Physician
Administers medications and treatments per signed doctor's orders in an accurate, safe manner, observes effectiveness and reports to physician if needed
Informs DOW of when supplies and equipment are needed
Supervises the Home Health Aide to ensure that all nursing care is given properly, safely and of the up most quality
Administers emergency first aid
Assures that daily assignments for patient care, incidental duties, performed by nurse and HHA as outlined by Director of Wellness are carried out. Re: Nurse/HHA documentation, Ex: V/S, weights, nurse's notes, medication, kardex, etc
Recognize, interpret and report conditions to the DOW/RN/ED as needed
Maintain cleanliness and neatness of nurse's station, med room and cart
Check equipment for cleanliness and condition
Provide guidance for nursing assistants
Promote and maintain good interpersonal relationships with residents, visitors and personnel
Understands duties and responsibilities are carried out for both assisted living and independent residents throughout the facility
The above duties include many of the tasks for LPN. Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program, currently licensed to practice per state
Work experience in the geriatric field
Ability to communicate well and in writing
Ability to deal with visitors, staff and residents in a courteous manner
Must be able to perform good grooming practices, personal hygiene and be punctual and regular in attendance
Ability to assess a resident's condition and intervene when needed
May have their picture taken and image used in social media or community advertising
May be video recorded from devices installed by families in residents' apartments
