Weekend Welder Fabrication

Perform a variety of welding and fabrication tasks in a shop environment to support construction equipment repairs and operations. This position is responsible for fabricating, repairing, and modifying steel components, equipment attachments, and structures in a safe, efficient, and quality-focused manner.

Perform welding and fabrication of steel components, assemblies, and structures using various welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick).

Fabricate, modify, and repair construction-related components such as brackets, frames, handrails, supports, and equipment attachments.

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and make necessary repairs, adjustments, and replacements.

Measure, cut, grind, fit, and assemble metal parts using shop tools and equipment.

Inspect finished work to ensure quality, accuracy, and conformance to specifications.

Transcribe data to maintain accurate repair records.

Maintain welding equipment, tools, and work area in a safe and organized manner.

Minimum 3 years of welding and fabrication experience in an industrial or construction-related shop environment.

Proficiency in MIG welding required; TIG and Stick welding experience preferred.

Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and blueprints when available.

Basic computer/iPad skills.

Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Willing and able to learn new skills via hands‑on training and acquire additional certifications as needed.
