You will report to the Director of Reactor Component Engineering and be located at Cranberry, PA and work in a hybrid capacity.Key Responsibilities:Accomplish design and analysis plans from preliminary through final design, translating performance and structural requirements into compliant engineering solutions using lessons learned and best practices.Qualify component designs using ANSYS-based thermal and structural FEA, closed-form analytical methods, and Westinghouse internal engineering codes.Collaborate with systems, manufacturing, and component teams to ensure subsystem integration and resolve design and production issues.Demonstrate technical acumen, delivering high-quality engineering work that meets safety, quality, and schedule expectations.Qualifications:We consider BS in Mechanical Engineering, (alternate degrees such as nuclear, aerospace, structural engineering with relevant experience).Proficiency in ANSYS Workbench and at least a familiarity with ANSYS Mechanical (APDL).0 or more years of experience required.We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices.
