Practice Details

• Trauma Level III
• Call Ratio: 1:5
• On-call coverage only
• 4 OB/GYN physicians
• 1-2 Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs)
• Resident typically available during call
• Onsite laboratory and ultrasound
• Support from Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Operating Room, and Emergency Department

Clinical Responsibilities
Triage and deliver obstetric patients
Cover OB/GYN emergency department calls
Round on inpatient OB patients
Manage unassigned OB patients
Perform circumcisions if comfortable (not required)

Oophorectomy
Cystectomy

• Approximately 65-80 deliveries per month
• 2-5 nursery admissions per day
• Approximately 40% low-risk pregnancies
• Approximately 60% high-risk pregnancies
