Evening and Weekend Server

Server Position
The Server is responsible for preparing, setting up, and maintaining the dinner area in the hotel. This role ensures guests have a pleasant and enjoyable dining experience by providing excellent customer service, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring the area is fully stocked and organized throughout dinner service.
Essential Job Functions:

Prepares and sets up the buffet area according to hotel standards.
Ensures that all food and beverage items are fresh, replenished, and presented attractively.
Greets guests promptly and provides a welcoming dining experience.
Presents menus and explains offerings.
Records and enters guests' orders, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
Assists guests with entre selections and accommodates special dietary needs when necessary. Coordinates with kitchen staff to ensure correct order and presentation.
Maintains cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including tables, counters, and floors.
Prepares and processes checks, including handling payments and transactions.
Monitors and ensures food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to at all times.
Cleans and sanitizes equipment and utensils after each use.
Ensures that all items are restocked as needed throughout the service period.
Assists with the breakdown of the buffet area and cleans the area after service.
Responds to guest requests and resolves any issues promptly and professionally.
Ensures that coffee machines, juice dispensers, and other breakfast equipment are in good working order.
Promptly reports any maintenance issues to the appropriate staff.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen equipment.
Education & Certifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a food service in a hotel environment is preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in a similar role is desirable.

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
Occasional bending, kneeling, or stooping.
Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
