Temporary Litigation Attorney - Immediate Start!

Overview Fennemore, an AM Law 200 law firm that helps businesses thrive, has an immediate need for a highly skilled litigator with at least seven years of quality experience in commercial litigation to join our Seattle office. The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day conduct of complex, large-document litigation, including developing and implementing discovery strategy. The ideal candidate will have significant skill and experience in discovery, review and management of ESI; the ability to prepare well written, cogent briefs on substantive and procedural topics without supervision; substantial deposition and witness examination experience; some trial experience; experience supervising paralegals and perhaps other lawyers; and strong client-relations skills. The successful candidate may work on a hybrid basis, but should be in office approximately 50% of the time. Washington Bar membership is required.
Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day conduct of complex, large-document commercial litigation.
Develop and implement discovery strategy; oversee discovery procedures and timelines.
Review and manage electronically stored information (ESI).
Prepare well written, substantive and procedural briefs without supervision.
Conduct depositions and witness examinations; participate in trial activities as applicable.
Supervise paralegals and, where applicable, other attorneys; foster strong client-relations skills.
Qualifications At least seven years of experience in commercial litigation.
Significant experience with discovery, review and management of ESI.
Proven ability to write clear, persuasive briefs on substantive and procedural topics.
Extensive deposition and witness examination experience; some trial experience.
Experience supervising paralegals and potentially other lawyers; strong client-relations skills.
Washington Bar membership required.
Compensation and Expectations Estimated salary range for this attorney position in Seattle: $205,000-$235,000 annually, depending on experience, location and productivity; plus a generous objective and subjective bonus program.
Billable hours expectation: 1,500 hours per year; option to work more with a commensurate base salary increase.
Base salary and bonuses increase with more experience and productivity.
