RN Weekend Night Day Shift

Registered Nurse (RN)
This position is for a registered nurse on a unit specializing in the management of patients aged 18 and older with intensive symptom management needs at end of life. Ideal candidates demonstrate strong IV skills, wound care expertise, compassion, and the ability to manage patients with complex medical needs and families in crisis. Effective assessment skills are crucial to advocate for patients who may not be able to communicate their needs.
Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to patients requiring symptom management.
Perform skilled assessments to advocate for patients and their families.
Administer and manage medication, including patient-controlled analgesia pumps.
Support general medicine overflow as needed.
Engage with families to provide emotional support during critical times.
Qualifications

Active New York State Registered Nurse License.
A minimum of two years' recent experience in palliative or acute medical-surgical nursing.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Experience with patient-controlled analgesia pumps or CHPN certification is highly desired.
Work Schedule
This role includes rotating day/evening/night shifts, with the requirement to work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as per unit needs.
