This position specializes in outpatient care, focusing on orthopedics, balance, deconditioning, and pain management. Key Responsibilities of the Physical Therapist
Gather pertinent data from charts and other caregivers; discuss with physicians as necessary
Independently assess all patient types as assigned
Demonstrate the ability to recognize additional needs during evaluation; exercise good judgment in decision-making
Interpret results and formulate relevant, measurable, realistic, and attainable goals
Reassess patient progress regularly per department and regulatory policy, or when need arises
Identify appropriate equipment, discuss with patients and families, and make recommendations
Requirements of the Physical Therapist
Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred; Bachelor's degree required
LPT License in the state of TX (or compact) required
BLS certification required (AHA only)
